About the Faculty of Engineering
To fulfill the needs of a rapidly developing technological society, the Faculty of Engineering seeks to deliver students rigorously trained in the studies of science and technology. In the undergraduate program, the emphasis is on training engineers who will be instrumental in introducing new technologies and in improving productivity. The graduate program, on the other hand, focuses primarily on training the next generation of engineering professors and researchers. Faculty members and students all work hard to maintain the Faculty’s leading role in research and development of technology.
The faculty has adopted a strict policy for employment of its teaching and research staffs and for this reason, only those who has graduated from the top universities of world with strong academic and research background can get the chance to be employed.
The faculty of Engineering is leading in performing researches for sustainable development of the country. For example, the wind turbines and solar panels that are being used for supply of the Electricity of the Arak University are designed and constructed by very close cooperation of professors and students in faculty of engineering and recently, the faculty has been successful in development of new generation of environmentally friend magnesium alloys that do not need any protective gas during its processing that is expected to revolutionize transportation industry.
